Me and wife are both currently working in US. I am on L1B and my wife is on H1.She is planning to quit her job and want to get a L2 visa.Can all the processing be completed while staying in US itself or does she needs to go back to India for stamping and all.
Please tell me the entire procesdure for the same.Thanks alott in advance

If she is in valid H-1 status, she can file for the change of status (COS) to L-2. this will change her I-94 (bottom of the I-797 approval notice), but it is not a visa, so she cannot travel with it, but is authorizes her to stay in the US as your dependent spouse.
