My husband died and his name was on the loan and the deed. There was no will. I have been paying on this loan since he died in May '09 because I thought my name was on the deed. A title search showed that it was not. The house needs so many repairs it is not worth it to finance it in my name (needs foundation repairs, etc). Am I responsible for paying the loan? Will any of this fall back on our 2 daughters? There was no other equity that he would have had either.
