Skinny jeans should be fine as long as they can slide up a little. Your seat on the horse will be hampered if they don't slide.

Well are they supplying riding gear? If not you'd need a saddle, bridle, reins, bit, saddle pad/blanket. But if you are meaning for you, I wouldn't wear skinny jeans, I find them extremely uncomfortable for riding. I'd wear normal jeans or yoga pants. You need good runners, it is best if they have a bit of a heel, or riding boots. You may want to wear gloves, it depends on you. I'm assuming you'll have to wear a helmet, and I'd bring my own (You don't want lice).

A loose fitting jean or stretchy pant is best and I would recommend a long sleeved t-shirt. Riding boots are preferable because they have a smooth sole and don't "stick" to the stirrups but a good pair of sneakers would be all right if you're just starting. I'd also talk to your teacher and find out if they have any preferences on what you wear. Good luck with the lessons.
