    Furnace switch
    Hi,

It seems that the furnace has a on/off switch at the unit for a fan. When the switch is in the On position the fan runs continuous even if the wall mount is set to on or auto. When the fan is running and I switch the wall mount from auto to On, or vise versa I hear a click sound at the unit, but the fan does not shut off.
Is the switch at the furnace to remain on at all times, or only when they furnace if being used.

Any other information about this would greatly help. I am a Real Estate Agent, and this is a property my client has purchased.

    I appreciate any input.
    Thank you

No need to operate the fan with the switch mounted the furnace. Turn that switch off and only control the fan from the thermostat. Many older style controls for the fan and limit that were mounted the furnace had this feature. It is a throw back to the days before A/C and it allowed people to operate the fan manually. The control might look like these.

I apologizes, I forgot to mention that when the switch at the furnace is in the off position, the fan will not turn on from the wall mount.
