Removing fathers name from birthcertificate in Arizona
My baby is 3 months old and my boy friend has been abusing me for the past 10 months. I only recently told and he was arrested last week for domestic violence. Is there any way I can remove the father from the birth certificate and list father as unknown so I will never have to leave my infant with this abusive man?

No, this is not the right way to deal with the problem.

If he is abusive, you MUST file reports every time he hit you... (can file back dated if some has already happened). Document these reports and file for sole custody at family court. If you can't afford an attorney, contact social services in your area. It's likely that you will have sole custody of your baby... good luck.

And to answer your specific question, no, there is no way you can remove his name from the birth certificate.

No, and even if you had not listed him, he can always file for visits using DNA tests anyway
