2002 Honda civic won't accelerate over 20 mph
My check engine line goes on and off on this particularly hot day in Florida I was driving and stopped at light, my car stalled out all my lights came on, I turned the car off then restarted it after 2 tries, the car went into gear but would not accelerate over 20 mph. I let the car sit for about an hour and tried to start it, initially it would not start on the 3rd try it started fine and I was able to drive as normal. I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX is has 150k miles. What is my car problem?

Attach a code reader to the Data Link Connector, located under the dash. This will allow you to read the codes stored in the ECM (computer) and steer you in the direction of what is wrong.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP)or the Variable Speed Sensor (VSS) is bad. Also, when alternators start going bad, it's common for dash lights to come on in concert. These are just guesses, at this point.
