Can I use a saline enema if I'm 15 weeks pregnant
I am 15 weeks pregnant and haven't had a bowel movement for 7 days. I have been drinking tons of water, eating everything I can think of with fiber in it and walking. Nothing is working. Can I use a saline enema?

It obviously depends on the patient, and I would suggest speaking to your physician first, but generally speaking, enemas are safe in pregnancy when used in occasion (no more than 1 - to a month). Also, I would try alternative methods such as taking a gentle stool softener recommended by your physician before attempting an enema.
