I have the alternator detached, but can not remove from engine compartment, stuck between engine, fuel injector bar, master cylinder and wheel well. Also tried out the bottom. Any ideas?

Remove left front wheel and fender liner for better access. This link may help:

It will come out the top but you will have to remove the power steering lines and undo some brackets. It is tricky but it will come out. I have done a few and you do not need to take the wheel off. Also, kind of pay attention to how it comes out so you can easily slide the new one in. Good luck.
