I have been experiencing yellow discharge for about a year. My mother told me not to worry about it but I'm getting concerned. My mother has had cervical cancer twice but I don't know if that is related. I'm a little confused because I am 18 and I'm a virgin and on all of the other boards I have read that having sex can cause these problems but I have never had sex nor have I participated in sexual acitivity. Sometimes it gets so bad that I have to wear panty liners. Please any advice would be great!

It may be perfectly normal for you. Some women naturally have more discharge than others and you will likely see changes in amount at different times throughout your cycle. Some women wear panty liners on a daily basis because it is more comfortable.
If it were a sudden or recent change from your norm, and continuing, it could be due to a slight infection.
Why not see about setting an appointment with a gynecologist to have things checked? At 18, it wouldn't be unusual to start exams and it would give you some peace of mind.

I have to agree. Considering your mothers history you need to make sure you never miss your yearly exam.
