I was sentenced to 2 years community control with a special condition from the court to have early termination after 1 yr, as long as I complied with all court orders. My probation officer wrote me a status letter saying I complied with everything asked of me. I have friends who also are writing me letters saying how well I have done. I did have a private attorney who I still have not paid off yet because of trying to keep up with everything else, can he (my attorney) stop me in anyway of being granted my early term? Also I have two beautiful children up north that I want to start getting back in their lives but I can't during this time because I can't leave. I have kept a full time job and completed a 26 week intensive treatment program.

Nancy - your attorney can't stop you from being terminated from probation early. Just don't tell him that you have requested the Judge to let you free early.

Some PO's will help with this, some won't. If you are on good terms with your PO ask them if they can help you.
