I can't type or use any of the keys on my laptop, they all seem locked. Can't even use the arrow keys. The "Caps Lock" key is not lite, as it usually is.

I would suggest taking the keyboard from the slow desktop and attaching it to your laptop. Then see if you still have the problem with the desktop's keyboard. If you do, then there is a software or driver problem. If you don't, then the laptop keyboard has either become disconnected internally or is just bad.

The first scenario you can fix by updating drivers, etc. The second scenario requires professional attention.
