    Hi Norma,

I assume the question is asking about the watershed of Christianity. That is, the breakdown of medieval scholasticism in the face of such things as the development of science, the Protestant Reformation ( Luther and Calvin).

I guess one could say that these and similar events led to a new humanist view of the relationship between man and God. To compare and contrast this new relationship would require a fair bit of space. There are different ways to approach this aspect. Depending on the length of the paper you would probably have to settle for one or two themes.

Your reference to ,' Christianity being held on a nation to nation basis'. I can only assume this refers to the large number of denominations that exist today.
