How do I remove self leveling cement which has been put over a quarry tile floor?
I am removing old vinyl tiles from my bathroom floor. The tiles are coming away easily but it looks as though a selfleveling cement has been used

If you need to remove the old tile and leveler, get ready for some hard work. Safety glasses, masonry or brick chisel and a small sledge. Depending on the age, it may have backer board or a wet bed under the tile. Good luck

Are you sure this self leveling cement was poured over quarry tile? If so the job may be evn harder than ma0641 says. You need to get down to soild original floor in most cases. I'd look into renting a rotary hammer with a chisel tip or a Skil Xtra tool
