I have a John Deere 108 lawn tractor. Briggs Engine 8 HP. I replaced the mover deck blade bearing and upper pulley. (John Deere mounted these for me.) I attached to the mover deck and the mower will now only run in reverse. Neutral works fine. It ran great (transmission wise before). Any suggestions?

Hi,
Older Deeres have a neutral switch. Suggest that the shift lever has become a problem as it is out of adjustment.

Adjusted the shift lever and all seems to be back to normal. I have no idea how this got out of adjustment--doyou?

Some things just come along to mystify us all. Nothing worse happens than to have a chain of problems with one leading to the next for successful completion of a repair.
