I cannot believe I am asking this but why is there so much pressure to be thin??

Well most people's image of a 'perfect self' are the skinny, perfect models on t.v. and in magazines. You don't see a heavier person being put in the spotlight very often, and so everyone strives to look like those picture perfect people they see, because that's what society considers beautiful.

There's only pressure if you allow it to be interpreted in this way.

Mostly its all media hype, and young girls would be well advised to ignore it and just be happy being who you are.

This is a false image projected by advertising companys and other media outlets to try to sell their products so they use ultra thin models as a way to promote.

In real life we are all various sizes and shapes. Try not to be effected by it and just be who you are whatever your size or shape. Be your beautiful self...
