    Sick Puppy
I bouth a boston terrier one week ago and it is 133 weeks old. It is constantly vomiting and the vet says they need to do expensive extensive tests to figure out what is wrong . The breeder refuses to take the dog back saying it was not sick when she sold it . What can I do

Cadance.. If you have a question, you should start your own thread.

If the breeder did not sell the pup with a health guarantee then I'm afraid there isn't much you can do. Most rep. breeders will stand behind their dogs if they get sick within the first 1wk or so.. Sounds like your breeder isn't a rep. one.

If the vet bill cost you a lot, you could try small claims court.. But, if the breeder didn't sell with a health guarantee, I'm not sure you will be able to do anything besides take care of your pup.

How long have you had the puppy for?

Do you mean 13 weeks old? What kind of food was it on when you got it? What kind of food do you have it on now?
My pup vomited a lot when I first got him... I took him to the vet, he had no medical problems but was having a hard time handling the food I was giving him because the vet told me the wrong kind... she was feeding them something completely different and the sudden change affected him... has he been to the vet?

The change in food will definitely do that. Also - don't forget he/she just got a new home and is stressed out and scared. Just take care of the puppy... Poor thing needs care. Also - I would seek a second opinion from a different vet. Good luck! Hope the puppy gets better!

How much do you trust this vet? Did the vet rule out food change and stress before suggesting the testing?

I know I myself am very picky with vets.. if I do not trust them, or even do not completely like them I will go elsewhere. And I always get second opinions if I am unsure

Whoops, I completely missed where it said she got him a week ago.

Some vets are excellent, some are a bit money hungry and love running tests.

How does the puppy seem other than the vomiting?
Is it lethargic or playing normally?

Are you feeding the same food as the breeder as others have asked?

What is constant vomiting? How many times a day and is it food or bile?
    How are the stools?
