    I have a black lab crossed with a irish lab, he's a boy and eats a lot but his back bones show really well and is so0 thin? I'm just wondering is he OK? Or is there something I could do? He eats all the right puppy food biscuts etc.. He's about four months old? Please help!:confused:

    Usually it is no problem keeping weight on a lab. Most of them are too fat. If his ribs show very much, and he is eating good, perhaps he has worms. Do you ever see any white things in his stools? You could try to match what you see to descriptions on over the counter worm remedies. Best thing would be to let a vet examine him. The vet could also help you judge between a thin Lab, and one with a problem.

    How much are you feeding? Normally, I would be feeding 3-4 cups of Pro Plan, a meat based, concentrated chow. I once had to feed one 7 cups a day to put weight on her.
