Breaking up concrete for tub drain
The basement tub enclosure rough in is in the wrong location and I need to move the stub out diagonally about 5 feet. The concrete is about 6" thick. What do you recommend as the preferred approach to break up the concrete. Saw or Jackhammer? I have never used either tool.

Thanks in advance for your response.

I just did this same thing this morning. I had to relocate my shower drain about 18" and I started by using a cold steel concrete chisel. After about 30 minutes and about 1/4" in depth I decided to call a friend who has a power hammer. He brought over a electric Bosch power hammer with about 6 different bits. In less than 30 minutes we had the entire area needed broken up and dug out.

Go rent one... well worth the coin.
