So I got a violation ticket for not having a month sticker on my license plate (which I deserve I guess) but I never got one when I registered. It's only $10 and not worth the hassle of disputing the charge.

Here's my question: What month should I ask for? The car was bought in Michigan in June '07 but was registered in California in January of 2010 and my title was received in February. In case it matters, my birthday is in October. What month tag should I request?

The "sticker" would or should have been given when they gave you the license plate for CA. So did you get a tag when you registered ( has nothing to do with title) has to do with getting the tag. ** normally done when you register but does not have to be
