Can a grandparent stop the mom from taking a child out of the state of Florida
I am a single mom that moved to California from Florida. My mom is very close with my 10 year old daughter and is not happy with the move. She is trying to file with the court so that I cannot take my daughter out of Florida without a visitation scheduele.

Until she gets an Order - which I don't think she'll get - that you cannot move your daughter, no, she cannot stop you.

As Judy already said, you can do whatever you want until there is a court order stating otherwise.

If she does manage to successfully file, I would definitely recommend showing up for the court hearing, or at least appearing telephonically. That way you can argue your side of it(why frequent visitation isn't possible or affordable, etc.) rather than her just getting what she wants.

And I doubt she'll get it, anyway.
