    Collection agency bank levys
Can we get a levy removed from our bank account that came from a collection agency? We were unaware of the judgment until we recently checked our credit. How can someone get a judgment against you without your knowing?

Now the collection agency put a levy on our account. We have several accounts at our Credit Union and they also cleaned our our daughter's allowance account. How can they do that? They took over 2500. but they say we have 10 days to negotiate with the collection agency.

I have read that we have 21 days to negotiate, but we called the collection agency and they just laughed at us when we tried to ask for some sort of terms to pay this off. What is the time limit for if they won't even discuss terms with us?

I feel we need help because the credit union said we only have 10 days, although I've seen information to the contrary. Plus, I just don't know what to do.

Any suggestions of what to do or someone to help would be gratefully accepted.

You need to go to the Court that issued the Judgment, read through the file and then Petition to get the Judgment set aside on failure to give notice to you.

    Now.
