    Sanket:

#1: On the W-7 for your wife, check block E. On the W-7 for your child, check block D.

#2: If you can get a photocopy copy of your wife's and child's passport notarized as a true copy, then that photocopy is the ONLY document you need send with the W-7.

This assumes you will file jointly as resident aliens under the First Year Choice option of being treated as resident aliens for the entire year of 2006.

#1) Block D for your child. Block E for your wife. You need a separate W-7 for each.

Block G is ONLY IF you are going to file a non-resident alien tax return (Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ.
