I have a Panasonic TAU 74 TS (CS/TC - 29PS70S).

The problem I have is that everything seems to working perfectly on the TV including the remote, except for one thing. When I press the menu button on the remote, it brings the menu up on screen, but I am not able to access the menu. If I push the channel up or down button, all that happens is the channel changes and the menu disappears. The same happens if I try and use the volume button, volume goes up or down and menu disappears.

Is there something wrong with the remote, or am I just being dumb?? I do not have a user manual and can't find one for this model online.

Don't use the channel buttons. At the top of the remote, there should be arrows surrounded by a plus symbol. You want to use the arrows to move up, down, left, and right, and the plus symbol to make your selection.

Thanks for the answer, but unfortunately my remote does not have any arrow buttons on it. My remote is a small compact remote. I will try and explain what the remote looks like.

Top left - red on/off button

Next row from left to right

Mute button

Your best bet is to probably try a universal remote then. I can't seem to find much on that model.
