    My baby
I am 22 weeks pregnant and I got my first ultrasound when I was 20 weeks. When my OB was looking at the results she told me that one side of my babies head looked prominent and said that I shouldn't worry. But now I'm getting a more detailed ultrasound can you please tell me if this sounds dangerous.

It's far more likely that the ultrasound wasn't very good. It's a bit like taking a photo and finding that the person you snapped has red eyes - you can't tell from the photo if the person has bloodshot eyes or not because it was a bad shot.

I know a lot of women who've had ultrasounds that showed something slightly alarming, and then they found it wasn't there, or was a misinterpretation of the ultrasound.

My sister was told, after an ultrasound, that her baby had a heart defect. She gave birth with a surgery team on standby, ready to operate, and it turned out to be a false alarm, the baby's heart was perfect.

A lot of worrying things disappear as the baby grows. Try not to worry about it.
