    Outlet questions
I want to run a hot wire from the junction box to a standard wall outlet, then I want to take power from that outlet and go in two different directions. Is this doable and how do I do it?

Yes it is doable. You run from the new receptacle box out in two directions. That's pretty much it.
I am not sure what you are asking about how do you do it.

Sorry.. should have said the main breaker... to one outlet, then I want to run two wires from that one outlet one going to the right and one going to the left. Do I twist those wires together and tie them around the screw?

I'm sorry, but if you are asking such very basic questions as this I think the first thing you should do is get a couple of good books on home wiring.
Get the basics down first then see how you want to proceed.

With the lack of experience you seem to have, it would be very dangerous to go into the breaker box. Everything in there is hot, 150-200 AMPS/240V, dead in a hurry if you get it wrong.
