    Loud knocking from the moter!!
My6 99 buick century is making a loud knocking from the moter! She still runs and drives, but right now I have her parked until I can get that fixed!! I think that it is the rocker arm on the right side of the moter!! How much is that going to set me back to fix!!

    Knocking in the engine? Hmmmm
Start from the top down with your diagnosis
    1) knocking is usually caused by damaged or sticking valves
Depending on the engine if its OHC an old school way of checking this is to remove the valve cover then start the engine to see if valves are sticking

I agree with bigtookautotech, but I also have a question, Is it knocking like someone hitting the inside of the engine with a hammer and gets louder when you accelerate, or is it making a ticking sound that stays the same throughout the RPM range? If its knocking then you could have a worn out connecting rod bearing, crankshaft bearing or cracked piston. If it's ticking then it's probably in your valve train (sticking valves, worn out lifters)
