    Air Conditioner is getting weaker
I have a Gold Star GWHD 5000 AC wall Unit. Now my rooms pretty big and it usually fill it with freezing cold air like I like but lately it seems to be getting weaker. I have cleaned the filter and left it off to rest and nothing seems to work. IS there anything I can do to get back to max capacity. I check all the dials and there the same. I can afford a new one and would rather just fix this one.

    1) with age,the charge in any air unit will slowly lose it's potential, routine maintenance will be required(a recharge)

    2) With higher temperatures, any air conditioning unit will seem to cool less, because it does.It has to cool air(and remove moisture) from a greater level to the low temp you 'expect'.So from 85 degrees to ,say,69 degrees, the change is 16.but from 95 to 69 it's a staggering 26 degrees, that's a lot of work for a window unit(much less a central unit)

When the window unit is maintained, make sure the tech. cleans the coils(the front ad back 'radiators') ,there are many chemicals they can use(as well as some home remedies)Allow them to decide what's best for your system)

    Hope this helped:)

I hardly know how to take your comments, sarcasm isn't much used in here, much less a compliment after a sarcastic comment...
