    Checking TXV offline
I was replacing a liquid line solenoid and it was right by the TXV. I think I may have gotten to hot so how would I check it offline? I still have no refrigerant in the system want to check out TXV before I put refrigerant back into system.

Sorry to say but I know of no way to accurately test a TXV unless you send it back to the manufacturer so they can use there test Jig specially designed for that purpose. I know it is to late now but the instructions always say to use wet rags on the valves or LA-CO Block It or some other product designed to absorb excess heat before it causes damage.

If you really felt the TXV was damaged I would replace it now since replacing it after trying to run the unit will be a big and expensive pain in the wallet.
