Hi, dianneh!
Just from personal experience, they seem to do really well if placed where they can see activity going on. But, not in direct sunlight or where it will get too hot or too cold.
Do you mean directly inside a window, please? If so, it might get too drafty there.
Thanks!
I love the idea of the window for site seeing, but it's not a great idea, it gets hot, or cold (depending on the season) too quickly for them.
Away from all fans or air conditioners, drafts, vents.
Here is a site that I found that not only discusses the kind of cage you should get, but also mentions where to place the cage. Just click on the link and go to the Cages section.
Budgie Care
I like this site, a lot of great info on budgie care.
Do you have only the one? Budgies do great in pairs. If your budgie is still relatively young, I'd consider a budgie friend.
We love pictures, so if you post some, we'd be thrilled. :)
Thanks, No I meant just so he can see out.
I agree!
We had them in pairs. They do seem to do really well that way!
Budgies are a bird that likes to socialize!
They do love having a buddy, just make sure they're the same sex, otherwise two can quickly become a flock in no time. ;)
My Grandpa raised budgies and cockatiels, I spent my childhood playing with them, learning from him. I always had a budgie growing up. Sadly mom and dad wouldn't allow two, but I spent a lot of time with my budgies, so they were never lonely. Very easy to train, smart little birds.
I now have a cockatiel, which I've also had in the past. We love her to bits, but she's proving more difficult to train then budgies. She's tame, but all my other birds would whistle songs, try to talk. She doesn't. She is the most quiet bird I've ever had.
Okay, thanks!Quote:

What you wrote above came through to me as a rating rather than a post because of a new skin (look) to the site that's being checked out. So, I didn't see what you posted until I went to my Profile.
If you go to your Edit Options and change the skin that you're using, you'll be able to use the site better!
My 2 budgies are on the opposite side of the room as the window, but techinically there still in front of it. I have blinds on my window that don't allow heat to enter but you can still see out of them (Its hard to explain) anyway, they seem to love it and sing much more now that they can see the great outdoors!
