Feed an age appropriate dog food tyler. Puppy chow is for puppies, that is quite evident. It isn't the proper nutrition for a four year old dog.

Why are you asking ? Is that all you have ?

No, it's not really good for them.
They can eat it sure, if you have nothing else, but not long term.

Puppy food contains a lot of protein and a LOT of calories.
Over time it will make your dog obese.

Puppy food is kind of fatty. Puppies burn more calories and energy then adults. Keeping an adult dog on puppy chow is actually going to make them fat the min their metabolizm slows down.

If your dog is a high energy dog, do some research on some foods and purchase a food designed for dogs on the go. Nutro makes a food for high energy dogs. Its got a lot of fat in it, but the type of fat an adult dog uses up.
