    Dog swallowing bones
Our dog has had many bones. He is a working ranch dog and gets many bones left from the hunters.
This time, he at both cooked and uncooked "beef" bones.
He is lathargic, not eating and throwing up bile. This is the third day.
He also swims in cattle watering holes/dams and open sewers.
My husband is very very attached to his dog. No, no call has been made.

Please get him to the vet while there is still time for the vet to diagnose his problem and fix it. Waiting until he passes this bone or other object could spell the end of the dog your hubby loves as you waited too long. After 3 days and getting worse I'd say he has maybe another day or two and then he's gone.

Definitely need to see the vet. There's just too many possibilities out there. He could have a bone lodged, but he may also have a major infection, or got a hold of some poison.

Took him in last night. They figure he ate something that has made him so sick. No bones show on the x-rays. They kept him for a day or two. Blood counts shows infection. He could hardly walk at the clinic.
    Thank you for being there!
