    Can you clarify your question please?

    Locations and venues differ in the length of time.

    Pretrial for what? Civil? Criminal?

    As far as I know any pretrial is done by the Judge's judicial assistant and not the plaintiff.

    It's a civil case in ontario.. thank you.. just so confused.. did nothing wrong.. have to prove myself inncocent even though paper trail leads to my mom

    Thank you.. all I know is my mom is the plaintiff and her lawyer after my discovery wanted it set for trial immediately.. nothing has been done in 8 months!

    I'd contact the Judge's office and ask the Judicial Assistant what the status of the trial or pretrial scheduling is. They may not be setting trials as quickly as you think they should be. Here in the US sometimes civil matters can take months to get on the trial docket of a very busy judge's schedule.
