    Temperature
I don't know how at this point to turn the spa off, but I thought I heard it running. I turned the thermostat down to 70 (it has a cover) thinking it won't kick in the heater.

It's over 100' outside, so I'm thinking it won't kick in.

    Am I thinking right?
I don't want to waste electricity.

That should do it. Also if you have a breaker box near the power to the tub you can turn it off there. Some spas/hot tubs have a automatic filtering process and regardless of the heat level will still cycle as a method of keeping clean.

There is too much equipment involved, also a pool. I don't want to burn anything out for the next person who moves in.
At least at this point it won't be heating it.:)
