    Vent line
I recently bought a house that includes a well, and septic tank. Before we moved in a lot of construction work took place. They filled the bath with plaster, and other debris which ended up in the sewage drain pipes. I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem or not, but my bath on the front of the house does not drain well. Also I only see one vent pipe on the roof for the entire house. (2.5 bath house). We sit on the back porch and sometimes can smell sewage, its not bad, but seems to be getting worse. Was wondering if flushing the drain line may help, or is there other things I need to do. I have seen no evidence of sewage in the yard, not backing up into the house, or anything like just the smell. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Your vents are revented back in the attic to one roof vent. If your septic tank has a vent that might be what you're smelling. Regards, Tom
