    See if you can get it in the air with the rear wheel hanging free then see about your swing arm bearings. If they are badly worn the swing arm can be off-center enough to let the belt rub on the tire or guard. That can give you a "Growling" sound. Keep in mind that worn bearings don't always feel "loose". Check that swing arm is in fact centered! Look close at the belt for signs of rubbing. Let me know how you make out.---"Bandit"---
