I was adopted by my Mom but I want of find my biological mother what do

My biological mother left me when I was 2. My mom who's has taken care of me for all my life I am now 42 has passed and I want to know who my biological Mother is. My Father has not and won't touch on this at all. Upon my Mom passing I looked for the adoption papers and can't find them. What do I do court said adoption has been sealed and I don't know what to do to get it unsealed. My knowing of my biological Mother is so limited and I just don't know what to do. I don't want my Father involved either what should I do.

It doesn't really matter how old you are. If you are an adult they have to unseal the file, if not as your mother to help.

She knows you were adopted and she battled with this day long ago. However, because you were adopted so late in life the likelihood is that you were originally TAKEN from your birth mother. Just keeping it real.

There is always a need for closure and answers. Just be sure that you are ready for this new reality because once there, there is no going back.

Actually, yes it does matter how old the OP is. Age makes a huge difference in adoption because of the several changes in adoption law and especially in attitudes toward adoption over the last few decades.

The older the OP is, the harder it will be to get information--and unless there is a medical reason, no court is going to unseal those records.

I don't know where you get YOUR information, but you're absolutely wrong in your answer.
