Son is going to be moved to this prison for a two year substance abuse program. Has anyone been there, or have had a family member there? He was convicted of 3rd DUI by jury.. sentenced to 4 years. Judge has court ordered this program for him at Indian Creek, Chesapeake Virginia.

I want to know about the new program that has just started there. I want to know what it is like there. The thoughts of my son in any state prison scares the crap out of me.

From what I can tell - you have to subscribe to get all the details - it was a Government-operated/funded program which has been taken over by a highly regarded private company.

I'm sure - this has to be terrible for you. The good news is that the Court didn't simply throw him into a jail cell. This IS a recognized treatment center which (according to the various info) is respected and has a good recovery rate.

My understanding is that the program is the same as it was; it is just operated privately now.
