So you have two choices. Take the risk and date.. or don't.

Option 1: take the risk and date. Sure, you guys could date... in fact, there's a chance she may even say no... but if you DO date, there's a chance you two will break up and leave each others' lives... and then there's a chance that you two will remain friends.

Option 2: You two will be friends.

If you think it's too big of a risk then, then it's simple, don't do it. Stay friends.
