I'm currently using the Pill Microgynon 30, and wondered if anyone can help me. I am going on holiday in 2 weeks, and have sorted it so my 7 days off are before and after the holiday however... I would like to miss the one before my holiday, which means that my other days off would be on my holiday and therefore want to miss that too, is this safe? Is it safe to take 3 packs back to back then have the 7 days off? X

My doctor told me that it is fine to take 3 packets back-to-back. There is no reason that you cannot. I have been doing this for about a year now with no side-effects. They say the only issue with taking more than 3 packets back-to-back is there is a chance of breakthrough bleeding, but this is unlikely to occur with only 3 packets. The only reason people tend to take one packet at a time with a break is because they want reassurance that their cycle is still 'normal' and that they are not pregnant. If these are not worries for you then there is no reason why you cannot skip the pill free week a few times.
