I have a leaking cold water spindle on the shower body in the tub . How do I remove it to see what's causing the leak?

1. Close water off for the whole house
2. Remove handle and trim
3. Take plumber's socket set, select correct size socket and insert it over the stem
4. Unscrew stem
5. Replace washer and seat
6. Reinstall stem, trim, handle
7. Turn water back ON
