The fan on my outside unit was completley dead. The capacitor was obviously done for, it was bubbled on top. I replaced the capacitor and it now gives the fan a little jolt when I turn the power on, but does not stay on? Any ideas?

Did you replace with an exact match?, will it start up when you give it a boost with a stick or long screwdriver, could be the start winding in motor is bad
