Since current contains electrons, what happen to all those electrons? What is the characteristic change in the water?

Pure water does not conduct electricity very well. Once we add a hand, we add salt. Taste your arm. It's will taste salty. Pure water is also tasteless and odorless.

It's the ions of the other substances that make the water conductive.

Can you tell me the characteristic change in water after the current is passed?
