Just a quick question.
If his behavior is drastically different you MUST call your Vet - no one here can diagnose over the Internet.
Of course, I'm guessing that is your question -
Hi, amtrichel!
Yes. Only guesses are possible here. Some of the guesses might be quite good and come from people who seem to really know what they're talking about. But none the less, they will still be guesses.
If there are signs that the animal might be in some sort of health danger and is acting totally like he wouldn't normally act, then going to the vet would be the thing to do, if you really want to know what is happening with your pet.
However, how long have you had the dog? Also, how old is he and what has the weather been like lately around where you are, please?
Thanks!
What has the weather been like? I realize you are backing up my answer by repeating it but the answer here is when behavior changes drastically a Vet MUST be consulted. This could be anything or nothing. I am not aware that weather can make a dog refuse to get out of bed (or unable to get out of bed). Not eating, yes.
Not drinking, no.
Thank you.
There are emergency hospitals that stay open 24/7/365. Look in your phonebook or call your regular veterinarian and listen to the message - they almost always leave a telephone number for an after-hours vet to refer to when they're closed.
You do need to get her seen as soon as possible
Yes, I'm backing up your answer, JudyKayTee. Yes, I asked a question to which hopefully the original poster will write a response.
Thanks!
