    My daughter needs for her husband to move out or she will. They have 2 teenage boys 15 1/2 and 17. If she leaves the house will she be charged for abandoment? She lives in North Carolina

    First, please pay more attention to posting guidelines. There is a Read First sticky at the top of the Divorce forum (where this was moved from) that directs questions of a legal nature to this forum. Had you done so, you would have found another sticky that deals with the issue of abandonment.

    What she needs to do is file for divorce or a separation. If she does that at the same time she moves out or forces him out, there will be no issue of abandonment at all.
