Is guardian entitled to payment for service
Sister has guardianship of disabled brother, he lives in her home and she provides 24/7 care. I feel that she should be compensated for her time and work. What steps should she take to get paid.

You are absolutely right ! That is a big job. Will the family pay her a fee? I don't think any steps should be taken, just have a family meeting and decide on a rate, say $l5. An hour. Is that what you were thinking ?

Yes that is what I was thinking? Who pays her? Us the family? Would it be fair to come from our brothers fund? Is it legal?

Yes, bb, now I know where you are coming from after you explained a little more. Your brother has a trust fund, and obviously a lawyer tending it. Is this correct ? Then you have to contact the lawyer because your sister has been appointed guardian and there must be a stipulation within the agreement that she can be paid. Please call this lawyer.
