Plastic gas pipes that can be used underground
    Hi All,
My question is I live in N.Y.Westchester Co. and we had a gas leak in our complex on Aprin 5,2010 and the plumber is running black pipe under the building ( crewl space) and orange plastic pipe underground (3 ft deep). Is this allowed? Joe S.

    Hi Ace...

YUP! The orange stuff is newer stuff, but it is allowed for underground use. I am also sure that the job will be inspected as required by law. If you have any other concerns don't hesitate to contact your local plumbing inspector and talk to him.
