Hillsborough County, FL - Motions hearings and being notified
I files a motion of contempt/enforcement post DOM and set a hearing date with the General Magistrate. When I got to the hearing after the bailiff checked me in and we had waited well past the start time for the hearing the GM came out and stated that a 'timely objection' had been filed so he would not be hearing my case. Apparently OP filed the objection, did not inform me and failed also to set a hearing date. What recourse do I have and how do I get a hearing set in the very near future - this was set for 2.5 months? I can't wait that long to get in front of the judge.

Anyone know the procedure? Can anyone recommend pro bono legal assistance in Hills County - not Bay Area Legal.

    Thanks in advance.

    A very frustrated Mom.

Call the County Bar Association and ask for legal aid assistance or pro bono.

You need to file an emergency application depending on what type of relief you are requesting.
