I locked a word file but now I lost the password so how can I open the document, suggest me

If the document is write protected, you can re-save the file with a different name; you would then edit the new file. You could then rename or dispose of the original file in order to keep the same file name for the new working file. If the file is locked so that one must enter a password in order to view the file, then I'm lost as well.

Hopefully someone would have an answer so that we can both learn something new.

There are programs that will retrieve the password from a Word file. Google Word password recovery to find some. They are not free however.
