How to evict a person that provide caregiving services in exchange for rent
I have a friend that moved into his grandfathers house to take care of him.His grandfather is 94 years old.Well my friend let his ex wife move in because she need did a place to live.In exchange for rent she would be the second caregiver.Things are not working out with the living arrangements and she has gone against the verbal agreement that was made and now they want her out .How can they go about getting her out of the home asap?

    Hello m:

They have to evict her according to state law.

This is a bit different. If the person was "hired" as a caregiver with room and board as compensation, they can then be "fired" and told to leave immediately. If they refuse, the police could be called in for trespassing.

However, doing it that way opens a can of worms, because the compensation needs to be reported for tax purposes. So it would probably be better to just terminate her tenancy according to the rules in your area.
