    If I want to do an appeal on a court ruling,how does it work?can I drop it if I can't find a good lawyer?need help asap thank you.

    I don't know what you mean by dropping it if you can't find a good lawyer. Have you started your own appeal? What Court and where?

    Hi judy
    I only got 10 days to appeal.can I start the appeal before my deadline is up, I haven't got me a lawyer yet.J&DR District Court in virginia.

    Have no idea why, they are merely people, and most family courts are done fairly informal compared to criminal trials.

    But yes you can drop it latter.
    The real issue is filing an appeal that will go though. You can't appeal just because you lost, there has to be reason that meets the courts rules for an appeal.
